Doug has been playing with Smoke & Mirrors Soundsystem since its inception in 2020. The project was borne of the pandemic, during the lockdown. Prior to that, he had been a member of the band Unsteady, which was headed by the brainchild of Smoke & Mirrors Soundsystem, John Roy.
Roy coordinated musicians from all over the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Central America, and Africa to come together, separately, in their own homes, and contribute to this recording project. Each member of the group recorded their parts in their homes and only got to see each other over Zoom. Doug recorded trumpet, keys, and background vocals.
The playlist below includes all of the tracks that Doug performed on. This playlist will be updated as new tracks are released.
